Mumbai-Based Edtech Startup Gradopedia Raises Seed Funds
A clear path for graduates!
About the funding
Founded in 2015 by Hitesh Awtaney, Gradopedia raised an undisclosed round of seed funding from investors in Dubai. The startup has raised enough funds to grow twice of its current size. However, the funds will be used for building internal capabilities in learning and development and developing the in-house technology.
Gradopedia is about assisting the future graduates and professionals to understand their career choices. Gradopedia was a part of Edugild, a startup accelerator program focusing on the education sector.iDreamCareer (iDC), Careers360, Avagmah, iProf, Meritnation, Simplilearn, etc. were also a part of this startup batch.” These startup’s weren’t with Gradopedia. The batch of startup’s was Classboat, Simulanis and InstaFeez.
The startup is for graduates who can experience replicated job profiles by watching professionals talk about their exact job profile. Users can analyze themselves by answering technical questions and exploring various career profiles. It helps them to make an informed decision on their career path. Gradopedia works with actual professionals across career profiles to classify employability through a ‘GradoScore’ for each profile, which is a combination of technical skills, personality traits, and other parameters. The score then allows graduates to standardize themselves and check the jobs that are available as per their current level. It also highlights the tangible steps that can be taken for improving their score and helps to acquire a better job.
The startup is using an ‘Affiliate Revenue Model’ apart from charging companies for recruitment. However, it does not charge graduates.
