San Francisco-based Kiip is a mobile advertising startup. In recent times, Kiip raised $12 million amount in a Series C round of funding. This round observed participation from Kiip’s existing investors and some new investors.

Kiip’s existing investorsTrue Ventures,Relay Ventures, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Verizon Ventures were joined by new investors like North Atlantic Capital and U.S. Cellular.

Utilization of the funds collected

The company said that it will utilize these funds for overseas expansion, marketing as well as the development of more technologies to offer new features such as recent moves to enable video and consumer surveys in its ads.

It was reported that Kiip’s got an average 19% hit rate on these kinds of ads. This means that it received more recognition than the typical banner ads. In addition, this platform delivers up to 3 million rewards a day.

The startup also has plans for reaching 150 million users a month worldwide. Hence, it is making money for some 5000 apps approximately.
