Legistify, an Online Legal Services Startup Raises Funds

The online legal services startup Legistify, which is led by the MD RanjitSingh has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. The company aims to channel the fund towards team expansion and promoting their products and services in the market. Product development too, is high on the list.

The firm was the brainchild of AkshatSinghal and began its journey in December 2015. Later, it was joined by Ritesh and Abhinav Gaur. This Delhi based entrepreneurship allows its users to create and modify legal documents online. The documents thus created can be edited if the user has made a mistake or provided a wrong piece of information, within 15 days from creation.

A BITS Pilani graduate, Akshat is presently functioning with a 10 member strong team, including the other two founders. At present the firm is monetizing mainly through drafting legal documents.

Akshat shared his views about the scope of his company in the current market, and what the company’s main focus areas are. “We are trying to break the shackles of conventionalism in user lawyer interaction space as well as legal outsourcing work. This needs some level of user behaviour modification which shall come in some time only. Apart from this, the legal community not being very tech savvy brings a few added challenges in expansion,” Akshat quoted.

Legistify has further plans to launch a legal research section, which will be more like a blog or even a discussion forum where people could put up their queries and seek legal information. Akshat also pointed out how this would help other startups gain more knowledge and insight in the legal domain.
