India’s rising auto-rickshaw aggregator Jugnoo plans to launch its new feature called ‘Jugnoo Pool’, an auto-rickshaw pooling technique on World Environment Day.

What exactly it is?

With the help of this feature, travelers will be able to share auto-rickshaw trips with commuters travelling in the same direction. This is a great proposal by the organization regarding the increase in carbon footprint and various traffic related problems. Not only is this concept environment-friendly, but also cost-effective for the customers.

What are the benefits?

Jugnoo Pool is going to be launched across all cities, where the company is operational. Now with this feature, customers can choose their option of riding solo or pooling ride. Customers who choose pooling will avail a discount of 20% on their fare. Auto-rickshaw pooling fare will always be less as compared to riding solo. The drivers will get a benefit of earning 1.5 times more at the same time.

Founded in November 2014 by Samar Singla and Chinmay Agarwal, Jugnoo is a Chandigarh-based company that has changed the way people choose to travel in the rickshaw. With 35,000 people transacting daily, it is still at a nascent stage. Jugnoo is an on-demand auto-rickshaw booking app that offers one of the largest networks of auto-rickshaws since it has more than 10,000 autos. The company aims to make traveling easy for students, office-going people and masses who are largely dependent on public transport for conveyance.
