Ram Karthik, the brain behind Zeitgeist electric bike has come up with another game-changer innovation.This time, he has created a three-wheeled scooter called as Doohan Ev3 iTank. The Seattle- based startup has already begun with its Kickstarter campaign earlier this week.

 Specifications

The specifications of iTank are quite attractive.  The vehicle uses Bosch motor that goes from 0-28 mph in 4.6 seconds, although the top speed is limited.  Removable 18650 Ternary Lithium Battery that gets full charged in 6 hours itself. It has covered the range of 62 miles and can go up to 100 miles, so does Ram says. The weight balance is 50:50 and has the lower center of gravity.

What can it be used for?

The iTank can be used for cruising around neighborhood , marinas, RV sites, golf courses , light trails where on one doesn’t want to walk, but at the same time don’t want to drive also.  It is capable of hiking a 15-degree inclination without losing any power, but Ram advises to not take it on rough roads and climb hills.

Cost

Amazon has already placed the order through Launchpad and it is also available on Amazon Prime. Ram is also in talks with the Police departments, private security agencies and Camping World for business. Where for the cost of the product is not cheap; the Kickstarter early-bird price is $4000 and that of Amazon order purchase is $5,500 per scooter. If you compare iTank with another three-wheeled scooter like Piaggio MP3 Sport 500 is of $9,000 and Harley-Davidson Freewheeler is around $25,000.

Ram believes that iTank will be future of mobility and a personalized vehicle for all the comfort and convenience. Ram will be devoting all his time to iTank for the next 10 years.
