IoT Company Witworks Raises Seed Funding Inclined Towards Launch Of Its Smart Watch, Blink

Funding for the Blink, in a blink!

Founded in 2014 by three IIT Kharagpur alumni i.e. Ankit D.P, SomnathMeher, and ChandrashekharIyer, Bengaluru-based IoT Company Witworks is a startup that makes smart connected devices in the home and lifestyle space. Recently, it has raised an undisclosed seed round of funding from multiple investors.

Primary Purpose of Funds

This round of funding is primarily inclined towards the launch of Witworks’ smart wearable platform, Blink. It is a wrist-wearable platform designed to provide information and services on-the-go to its users. Blink enables Witworks’ voice-assisted operating system called Marvin OS (based on Android).

As per the news statement, Co-founder ChandrashekharIyer stated that it incorporates over 25 years of experience with traditional watchmakers. The new product also leverages the partnership with most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world.

Participators of the round

This round of Witworks funding was led by Fireside Ventures, Investopad, P39 Capital and a group of angel investors. Other participators also included Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com Founder), PranayJivrajka (COO, Ola Cabs), Maninder Gulati (Chief of Strategy, Oyo), Abhinav Sinha (COO, Oyo Rooms) as well as top executives from ITC.
