An Indian startup known as Graviky Labs, has introduced a viable solution for air pollution, Air Ink. Air Ink is a line of pens whose ink is made of recycled air pollution. Yes, you read that right. They can create pens with ink, made of recycled air pollution such as carbon from car emissions!

Impact

In 2013, a report by Global Burden of Disease (GBD) said that outdoor air pollution was the 5th largest killer in India. As a result of this, approximately 30 million people including children in India suffer from Asthma.

As per the company’s website, depending on the type a 30ML Air-Ink Pen contains 30-50 minutes of air pollution generated by cars- that otherwise have been floating in the environment and producing ‘cancer’.

Not only has this innovation by Graviky Labs created something out of nothing, but it can help our society in unimaginable ways. Greater production of Air Ink is bound to reduce the amount of air pollution slowly but steadily.
