Blendle<\/a>, a pay-per-article journalism startup\u00a0combines the written articles of various unique publishers into a single and ad-free platform where\u00a0readers can\u00a0choose and pick stories\u00a0to take in. Recently, 1 million users registered in and this is the result of such a low charges for per article. Blendle takes only two years to get this huge list of sign ups.<\/p>\n

Birth of Blendle<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The startup came into being in April 2014 in Europe, as a substitute for publisher\u2019s content-gating paywall. Blendle started operating with publishers in its native\u00a0Germany and in Netherlands, before\u00a0spreading its roots to the U.S. It has grown its business up to 300 percent over the last year and is making efforts so that users can read over 20 million articles on the platform by the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Interesting Features of Blendle<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the most interesting features of the platform is that if paying reader didn\u2019t like any story then he can get a refund after explaining, why they want a refund. As per news statement,\u00a0the refund rate of Blendle is under 10 percent platform wide and a bit lower in the US. Moreover, Blendle also\u00a0handles access so that if a viewer pays for various articles from any particular publication\u00a0and goes over the subscription rate for a particular topic then the rest of the content will get unlocked automatically.<\/p>\n

Future Plans of Blendle<\/strong><\/h3>\n

However, Blendle is preparing to introduce a new content personalization feature, known as\u00a0Blendle Premium Feed that\u00a0will project\u00a0a customized feed of stories at each user.\u00a0\u00a0The feed\u00a0is being\u00a0motorized by a blend of algorithmic\u00a0predictions that are based on users\u2019 past behavior preferences and analysis, mixed with\u00a0human selections, by its\u00a0own in- house team.<\/p>\n
