Myntra is one of the leading e-commerce sites in India. In fact it is <\/strong>ranked fourth<\/strong><\/a> in India by a website called StartupRanking. It had switched to \u2018App Only\u2019 mode last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

India\u2019s largest e-commerce site, Flipkart owns Myntra, which is quite reputed for the variety the brands it offers. It had closed their desktop website in March last year after which their sales had dipped. To compensate for the losses, they are re-launching its desktop website on 1st<\/sup> of June this year. The sales are expected to rise by 15-20% in the current financial year as per the company, after the launch of desktop website. Though the rise in use of mobile phones is seen for accessing majority of e-commerce sites, the number of users using desktop sites has not decreased.<\/p>\n

Founded by Vineet Saxena, Ashutosh Lawania and Raveen Sastry, Myntra\u2019s total equity funding is $158.75 million. Myntra\u2019s step to go \u2018app only\u2019, which was highly criticized by the investors and analysts, had affected the sales badly. It has come to company\u2019s notice that giving customers a narrowed platform for shopping is just not to work well for the company.\u00a0 As a precursor to desktop website, Myntra had reopened its mobile website in February this year.<\/p>\n

The main motive of Myntra behind reopening its website is to lure more buyers to the company, giving tough fight to its competitors Jabong and Snapdeal.<\/p>\n
