Since August 2014, Hyderabad startup Smartron India is operating in a stealth mode. It is all set to launch its new range of smart devices including phones and IoT products for consumer and enterprise market. Smartron is a leading technology OEM company and an Internet of Things (IoT) startup that recently announced its tie-up with the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He is not only the brand ambassador for the company, but also a strategic shareholder in the company. With Smartron, Tendulkar debuts as an investor in a tech startup firm. Lately, the startup introduced its two flagship products, tbook and tphone, fully designed and engineered in India.

Founder’s take on the startup

Mahesh Lingareddy, founder and chairman of Smartron, aims to innovate using smart sensors, robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud and big data technologies with the IoT wave to bring next-generation technology in the market. This is because the founder sees India as a huge potential market for IoT products. What not these products can do? No longer just a desktop or a smartphone will display the magic of technology. Now, smart appliances and bulbs are the next thing!
