Health startup Pianta Secures Funds from FreeCharge

Health Gets Wealth!

Founded in the year 2015, Bengaluru-based home healthcare startup Pianta raises funds from Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon, the founders of FreeCharge. However, the funding amount remains undisclosed. FreeCharge is an online recharge company that got acquired by Snapdeal.

The startup is all about connecting users by discovering and booking appointments with trusted home health care providers for services that include nursing, lab sample collection, physiotherapy and consultation. These healthcare providers give door-to-door services. Moreover, it sells home healthcare practice management software Pianta+ that enables users to effectively and efficiently manage their field force, track them real time and digitalize customer details. Currently, it operates in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Noida. Pianta is founded by Swaminathan Seetharaman, Ganesh Subramanian and Nitin Agarwal.

Healthcare companies like Accel, Portea, Apollo Hospitals, Dabur and Medwell Ventures are giving direct competition to Pianta. Lately, Care24, a home healthcare services provider raised $4 million in Series A and $200K in the pre-series A round of funding.
