True to its name, GuruG is an app exclusively for our ‘gurujis’ or teachers. GuruG, formerly known as Guru-G is a venture that took off in 2013 with a purpose in mind.  And what was that purpose? To help out the teachers all over the country. When GuruG took flight in 2013, in Bangalore, its founder Amruth Ravindranath had one objective in mind- to break the traditional norms of teaching and establish a fun-filled, gamified platform to assist and inspire teachers all over India. It aims to make the life of a teacher easier, exciting and more influential.

GuruG has an interesting, user-friendly platform that would help empower the teachers. All they have to do is download the app, open it and select their subject and class. They will be provided with interesting teaching techniques and tips. They will have a myriad of teaching methods to choose from and will also get a chance to discover innovative means to understand the student psyche and analyze their learning curve. Teachers can also generate reports and lesson plans using the app. GuruG is also capable of converting existing textbooks and other academic resources into less complicated, more interesting versions of themselves.

Success Story:

The present GuruG team is made up of about 26 members and is headed by Ravindranath, the CEO and founder of the startup. Currently, GuruG is an active participant in over 412 schools across five states of the country. It caters to about 4000 teachers. More than 1, 31, 000 teaching methods are incorporated in the app to make things easier for the harbingers of knowledge. The firm recently raised seed funding from the US based India Educational Investment Fund (IEIF). It is planning to expand its operations into more states of India in the near future.
