About Grobo

Wish to grow your own vegetables and fruits, but couldn’t put all the efforts to do so? Well, a Canadian startup, Grobo develops a smart innovative home gardening system that helps you to grow your own vegetables, fruits, crops as well as the weed with the minutest effort. Today, everybody is chasing for organic food, so what better way for organic food than to grow at your own home?

How does it work?

The device is very simple to use, all we have to do is fill with water, essential nutrients and put up some seeds in its base. Then just hit a button to start the growth your plant. After a couple weeks, it will be ready to reap. Grobo utilizes sensors to observe the condition of the plant and automatically customizes its watering plans and later, let us recognize when it’s ready to yield.

Take a look at this video of Grobo-

Grobo is for growing plants like tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, herbs, kale and most importantly, weed. Bjorn Dawson, Grobo’s founder, and CEO has inspired this idea when there were a lot of complications for Canadians to grow cannabis for medicine at home itself.

How much it costs?

Grobo is easily affordable by everyone. The automated home gardening system is available for $899 on preorder and its regular price will be of $1,399. You have to spend around $15-$20 per month for nutrients and the electricity cost for the device is as similar to the ceiling fan.
