Govt Intends To Initiate A TV Reality Show For Indian Startups
Golden Opportunity for Startups
Govt is taking some more steps to encourage startups in India after PM Modi’s Startup India, Stand up India initiative. Now Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has come up with an idea of launching TV reality show for the Indian startups while commencing a dedicated TV channel destined only for the Indian startups and entrepreneurs. As per the reports, these projects have also been shared with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and a result will come out soon.
Additionally, the contender of the reality show has to be showcased at the Startup Fest conducted in Hyderabad next month. An external organization would be lined into the search for audacious entrepreneurs and startups, and to convene a panel of the venture capitalists that will examine these entrepreneurs, and choose their ideas for the funding. The show would be telecasted on Doordarshan (DD National)
In addition to the reality TV show, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion is also planning to commence a dedicated channel for the startups, in which 24*7 programming would be fed for helping entrepreneurs. This concept was stirred from a similar TV channel, especially for farmers.
DIPP is also considering to encouraging and inspiring Indian startups to find out solutions for the actual issues faced by Indians, and particularly in the climate sector and environment.
