Google’s New Smartphones, Pixel And Pixel XL Are Available To Pre-Order InIndia

Google’s new smartphone: Pixels

Google’s most awaited smartphone known as Pixel smartphone is finally here and anyone who wants it can pre-order from India October 13 onwards. One can order it through Flipkart and it will be also  availableover 1,000 retail electronic shops like Croma, Vijay Sales and Reliance Digital. Google has announced that it will start shipping at the end of this month.

Pricing

Pixel smartphone starts at Rs 57,000 ($855) and the base Pixel XL model is Rs 67,000 ($1,005). The 128 GB Pixel phone costsRs 66,000 ($990), and Pixel XL is Rs 76,000 ($1,140). Both of these smartphones are available with interest free EMI programs and have attractive upgradable offers. The company will be also providing toll free phone support for Pixel users and around 54 walk-in service centres around 30 cities in India.

Specs and Features

The base pixel model of 32 GB internal storage costs around $649 in the United States but here in India it is priced as $855. The core reason of this price difference is heavy import duties which our Indian government imposes on smartphones so that it can be locally manufactured.

Both Pixel and Pixel XL are coined as “first –ever made by Google” and more over they also have in-built Google Assistant. It is Google’s own new AI-driven digital assistant like Siri and Cortana. Pixel comes with 5-inch full-HD display and whereas the Pixel XL comes with 5.5-inch QHD screen. They both are powered by Snapdragon 821 processor and have different storage options like 32GB and 128GB. The color available for this smartphone is Quite Black and Very Silver and runs on Android 7.1.
