Google strikes again!

About Duo

Duo is a simple video calling app launched by Google this week. Competing with iOS’s Facetime and Microsoft’s Skype, Duo is available for android and iOS platforms in 78 languages. All you require is just the contact number for making the call. For speed and reliability, Duo is built on Google’s WebRTC video framework to handle HD or 2G.

Google video calling app is specially built to be fast and reliable, having quick connections and working well even on slower networks. The call quality adjusts as per the changing network conditions. This is much needed for business calls. Duo’s feature called Knock Knock gives a glimpse to see the live video of the caller. For privacy and security concerns, Duo emphasis on end-to-end encrypted calling.

Duo does not support group calling, nor it provides video effects or text chats. An SMS with an app download link has to be sent for inviting new users.
