Google, HDFC Bank and TCS Want To Help Your Startup

When These Bigwigs Come Together

Big news for Indian startups! Three global bigwigs Google, HDFC Bank and TCS are coming together to support Indian startups working in tech space.  The trio have partnered with Zone Startups India to find such startups that can participate in Next BIG Idea contest.

Next BIG Idea contest is an Ontario-based competition that attracts big talent every year. This arrangement will help the Indian startups to enter the American market. Startup incubator DMZ is also onboard for this.

The Contest

Ajay Ramasubramaniam, Director, Zone Startups, thinks that big corporations have a wider reach in the market and easy access to technology. It is, thus, in their power to support young startups gain traction. This is why Zone Startups has always associated itself with big companies. With Google, TCS and HDFC on-board this time, the scale and possibilities of this program has increased multi-fold this year.

On its launch day, the program had a panel discussion on ‘Think Beyond Silicon Valley’ where industry experts imparted perspective on startup markets of France, Canada and Israel.

Reaching Out to the Startups

Zone Startups will now be organizing roadshows across 11 cities to take to take the program pan-India. The contest has already received 700 applications from startups across India.

By backing this contest, HDFC hopes to solidify its name in the Indian startup ecosystem. TCS wants to collaborate with startups through its Co-Innovation Network platform and hopes that it would be able to attract more startups towards this platform.
