GoDaddy Launches Flare, the Tinder of Startup Community

People’s Community to Develop Business Ideas

Cloud-based domain service provider, GoDaddy, just launched a new app called Flare. It is being pegged as the Tinderfor entrepreneurs. It is an app where people can come and discuss their ideas, and get feedback from other entrepreneurs and members in real time. Insights can also be shared about any discipline. All in all, it’s a community-based app for supporting and connecting budding entrepreneurs.

It Is A Simple App And Here Is How It Works

A user can swipe left if he doesn’t like an idea; tap if he likes the idea; and swipe right to snooze and look at it later. On receiving set number of ‘loves’, the ideator of the concept can use the app to ask questions to get feedback about the idea. Users can follow an idea just like Twitter. As the idea starts developing, ideators can simultaneously keep posting updates, questions and polls regarding their ideas. Users can provide important insights to the ideator regarding pricing, feasibility and competition. Flare also has categories like ‘Top Charts’ that shows 20 top ideas that are live on the app on any given day.

What It Means For The Startup Community

Flare is the app that is a right fit for the current startup ecosystem of India, believes Rajiv Sodhi, MD and Vice President, GoDaddy India and Australia. Even the government’s Startup India initiative has given that necessary boost the entrepreneur community. With Flare, people will now be able to have a platform to nurture and work on all the seemingly crazy ideas they have. But then even Ola’s concept felt crazy initially and now look.
