Get-Set-Go with T-Hub’s Startup-a-Thon
Since the commencement of the Startup-India campaign, T-Hub has been meticulously working around the clock to shape an environment that would provide a strong foothold to the emerging businesses. A brilliant, two-day long Startup-a-thon was conducted recently at St. Martins Engineering College, Kompally, as part of the campaign. Hosted by askmentor.com, the event witnessed fierce participation from various companies as well as prospective entrepreneurs. The crowd was an interesting blend of investors, aspirant businesspersons and techies.
The participants took advantage of the platform to pitch new ideas and discuss their strong and weak points. The discussions were extremely constructive and all the parties embraced the comments and ideas enthusiastically. This brainchild event of T-Hub launched a startup incubator in St. Martins Engineering College and extracted the best of innovative ideas and solution pitches from the 27 companies that turned up.
Manoj Sharma, the CTO of Quikr enlightened the crowd and provided sound advice on building a strong platform for a startup. He talked about how all this new energy should be channeled and transformed into something effective and useful.
Many manufacturing and hardware companies grabbed attention with their brand new ideologies and course of actions. Some of these firms included IoT Suitcase, Qloq Technologies and Coat-X. The focus of the food-specific startups were on quality and pricing. The event also got to witness the pitch from Time 2 Tiffin, a very interesting app which will target people who would need food between 7am to 11am. Some of the winning firms were Jilmore, Dinesmart, Coat X, Getme, IoT Suitcase and Wichplease.com.
