Free WiFi by Google across 5 Railway Stations in India

Now, you can enjoy the free public WiFi service at Patna, Ujjain, Guwahati, Allahabad and Jaipur railway stations provided by the world’s tech giant- Google.

With the launch of free public WiFi service at the railway stations of Patna, Ujjain, Guwahati, Allahabad and Jaipur, Google will provide unlimited, high-speed internet access via WiFi; in total of 15 stations now across the county. This project is in collaboration with the Indian Railways. Gulzar Azad is the head of Access Programs of Google India.

In April 2016, Google had launched its WiFi Services to Nine Indian Railway Stations including Pune, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Ranchi, Raipur, Vijayawada, Kacheguda in Hyderabad, Ernakulum Junction in Kochi and Vishakhapatnam. Due to the incredible internet usage and the support by RailTel and the Ministry of Railways, Google could expand its project.

By the end of 2016, Google plans to extend its services to 100 more railway stations in India. Free WiFi by Google is available at Mumbai Central station also. Now, it looks forward offer free WiFi on Mumbai stations such as Dadar, Bandra Terminus, Churchgate, Thane, Kalyan, Panvel, Vashi etc.
