First Hyperloop System set To launch From Dubai To Abu Dhabi

Hyperloop One In UAE

H1 announced that they would build the first commercial hyperloop transportation system from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The distance between them is about 159.4 km (99 miles), usually it takes around two hours by car but H1 will take just 12 minutes with the help of hyperloop.

H1 is also in talk with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) so that it can examine the feasibility to build Hyperloop system in UAE. Their next plan is to proceed to develop and focus for its “Kitty Hawk” moment when complete H1 prototype will be tested in Nevada desert.

When was the project funded?

Earlier this August, Shervin Pishevar, co-founder of H1 already hinted that the company will build its first hyperloop overseas. In October it received $50 million funding from the world’s largest ports operator, DP World Group of Dubai to develop hyperloop for cargo shipments across the country and the world.

Future plans for the company

Moreover, the company revealed original design for portals and pods that would let take commuters from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in its autonomous transportation system. The company will work with design and architecture firm BIG and  Mckinsey &Co.  so that they can figure out to build a hybrid passenger-freight system in Emirates.
