Recently, IAN (Indian Angel Network) funded $200,000 to 6Degree, a fashion-tech startup. Launched in the year 2015 by co-founder and CEO Nikhil Hegde, 6Degree incorporates fashion with technology. It is a platform for like-minded people where one can showcase its talent across the globe. Fashion enthusiasts like fashion designers, bloggers, brands, models and photographers can meet on this platform.

Utilizing the funds

With the new funds, the startup will enhance its technology and expand its services. Moreover, the funds will also be utilized in launching a first-of-its -kind Enterprise Solutions for Fashion Weeks (Lakme Fashion Week, India Fashion Week London, Fashion Forward Dubai and so on).

“The fashion market in India is going to be huge in the next 10 years. We have already seen Indian affluent consumers spending on Indian designer wears for their key functions and also preferring to wear international brands. 6Degree collaborations with both fashioner designers and fashion weeks are unique in nature. In addition, their upcoming tech platform will bring efficiency into the system,” says Abhishek Agarwal, the lead investor in 6Degree to Forbes India.
