Domino’s to Launch Pizza Delivery Via Drone

Pizza Delivery Gets a Bit Modern !

The Flying Pizza

Domino’s Pizza in Auckland city of New Zealand is about to launch unmanned drone pizza deliveries on a regular basis. It is the first company in the world to start such commercial drone services. With clear skies and a small population of 4.4 million, New Zealand becomes an ideal place for commercial drone services. Last year, NZ became one of the world’s first countries to permit commercial drone deliveries.

Moreover, some of the world’s best giants like Amazon and Google have plans to start drone deliveries. As a part of the trial, 7-Eleven Inc, a US convenience store chain conducted first single commercial drone delivery of coffee, donuts, and a chicken sandwich.

Is Drone Delivery A Challenge?

Domino’s have done a superior job in saving time and money through an airborne supply chain. However, it still needs to overcome random hazards like power lines, moving vehicles, children playing in the backyard etc.

How far will drone delivery services go in New Zealand? Do you think India is an ideal place for commercial drone services? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
