CVS invested in Curbside app to ease product booking

Curbside app has recently raised $34.5millions. CVS has tied up with Curbside to boost its product delivery service.
CVS is an online pharmacy where one can buy prescribed medicines, shop for health & beauty products and wellness. Its goal is to help people lead healthier lives. Recently, CVS has teamed up with Silicon Valley startup “Curbside” to deliver its products more efficiently. One can view and add the products to be purchased using the CVS app. With the help Curbside app we can place online order and within an hour you are notified that your product is ready. You just have to swing by the store and the ordered product will be handed over to you.
CVS notifies its customer by sending a text or mail. The product will be received at a designated area by the customer where an employee will deliver the item. Curbside services were already popular with the well-known retailers like Target. CVS decided to promote its brand, after setting up 7600 stores in the US and therefore decided to invest in the popular app Curbside. It became the first pharmacy store to integrate Curbsides software into its own mobile application. The amount invested is not disclosed yet. Nearly 75% of the products will be available for pickup when you order from CVS store. Prescription drugs are not part of the plan at the moment .The best part? Its 100% free and there is no addition hidden fee.
Services of CVS are currently live in selected markets and further rollout is planned for this year .Growth of CVS is assured to reach higher level as Curbside, already being popular has managed to raise $34.5 million prior to CVS tie-up.
