Its recent announcement of plans to shut down its consumer business at the end of this month has sent shockwaves across its customers and peers alike. But the silver lining is that the company is not going to disappear altogether. It announced that this move has been adopted so that the company can focus more on its enterprise business. It is of the opinion that the enterprise sector “is growing, successful and requires more and more resources from us,”

In the announcement, the company also talks about how hard it is to scale a consumer ended business like valet parking. It stresses on its need focus more on the enterprise sector as it is growing and easier to scale profitably. “Without unlimited resources, it’s really, really hard to build both a great consumer (B2C) and a great enterprise (B2B) business at the same time. For these reasons, we’ve made the tough choice to close our consumer valet parking service on February 29th, so we can focus all our energy on our enterprise business.” Zirx wrote in the announcement.
