Casamatic Planning to Branch out to 10 New Cities

A member of Oceans Accelerator’s pilot class and a 2015 Brandery graduate, Casamatic has plans to expand and branch out to 10 new cities. At present, it deals with only 3 cities. The startup had succeeded in raising seed money of about $1.1 million in the recent seed round up which was led by Dayton-based Accelerant.

The startup makes use of real estate listing data to serve people. It targets tech savvy user to find their dream homes. Casamatic urges the prospective buyers to ditch the traditional methods of searching for ‘for sale’ signs and dragging themselves from house after house. It asks the users what their preferences are – accessibility for work, schools, hospitals, restaurants etc., and maps them to the houses they might like.

Casamatic started its journey in Cincinnati in April 2015 and gradually spread its wings to Chicago and recently, to Dayton. Its next move is to set up business in ten new cities, which include Phoenix; Charlotte, N.C.; Raleigh, N.C.; Columbus; Nashville, and the Los Angeles region. Alex Bowman the co-founder of the startup stated that by the end of this summer, Casamatic will be operating in 15 to 25 cities.

“We’ll be hiring freelance local experts – 25 people we’re bringing on in the markets we’re already in and new markets,” he said. These local experts would be supplying the content and information on the neighborhoods that would be featuring in Casamatic’s website. The startup also has plans to tie up with real estate agencies, so that its clients would be able to find properties for sale too.
