Bladeless Windmill to empower an alternate energy source in future
VORTEX Bladeless came out with a bladeless Wind Turbine. The technology reduces costing on maintenance and operation.
There is a growing interest in the field of alternative source of energy. We all are aware how effective wind energy is, as an alternate energy source. From many years, wind mills are being used popularly in open landscapes. Over the years, there have been rarely any changes or development in the design of windmill. But thanks to a Spanish Startup “VORTEX Bladeless”, there is a new type of turbine that is something different. The built in designed to eliminate the requirement of blades, reducing the burden of cost and maintenance. This has made this model a lot cheaper than the existing model. It is much more reliable as compared to the traditional windmill.
VORTEX has focused in developing a generator that has design similar to a straw. This is a giant generator fitted deep inside the ground and will harness wind energy through oscillations. It generates energy through vibrations. As the wind pass it moves and creates vibrations. The force created is utilized to store the energy. Have a look at how it works:
Why is it effective?
Manufacturing of VORTEX is 53% cheaper as compared to other turbines. The procedure to use the technology is simple and operations are 51% cheaper than a traditional wind turbine. It also utilizes 30% energy less than a traditional wind turbine. Founder Raul Martin Yunta stated that the company has received about $1 million from the Spanish Government. Private investors too have come forward and invested in this project. They also plan to seek funds through crowd funding.
