Arianna Huffington has erected one of the most successful and innovative media company in the world. And she has now joined the Uber’s board.

Uber gets Arianna Huffington, the founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, on board to join its Board of Directors.  CEO of Uber, Travis Kalanick announced this in a blog post yesterday. He said that she could bring a much needed skill set to the company.

Kalanick also said, “Huffington’s ability as a storyteller is invaluable for an engineer like me, whose natural tendency is to rely on data. As I’ve discovered, that doesn’t always work perfectly.So it’s Arianna’s emotional intelligence that I am most excited to learn from. I’m confident she will bring some ethos and pathos to out Uber logos. ”

Huffington has a good foothold in politics, besides being the bestseller author for her latest book, ‘The Sleep Revolution’.  Collaboration with Toyota was also announced earlier this month by Huffington and Kalanick, to endorse the dangers of drowsy driving.
