Airtel Promotes Above 9k Sites Under One Open Network

A Customer-Friendly Initiative by Airtel

Bharti Airtel one of the largest telecom operators in India recently promotes its ‘Open Network’ initiative that offers network information to customers and seeks their feedback. It upgrades to more than 9,000 sites at various locations and over 30,000 existing ones have been optimized moreover setting up of new towers is also under way.

How this Process Started?

Previously, Airtel has made the information of mobile network public by an interactive online interface and request customers for their feedback to improve their site. Through this initiative, the customers can perceive signal strength and network coverage at any location throughout India by a color-coded interface that displays if coverage is good, moderate, excellent, or non-existent.

Result of Feedbacks

After this step, Airtel received various feedbacks from customers across several touch points like the myAirtel app, Open Network portal, Airtel Stores and Airtel Call Centre.

On the basis of such inputs, Airtel engaged with customers for network optimization, with the initiative creating leads for the installation of new sites.
