Make in India Week, which will be held in Mumbai this month is sure to be a great opportunity for all the enthusiastic and innovative entrepreneurs across the country, the reason being the startup contest announced by The Department of Industrial Policy in partnership with Qualcomm. The event will take place from February 13 to 18. What awaits the winner of the contest is a 2 crore funding form the US company Qualcomm. The winner is selecte don the basis of live voting. The authorities are looking forward for many entries and expecting the event to be a platform to showcase their creativity and innovations.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates can take part and present their business ideas. The application is already open, and candidates can apply till February 12.

Government is encouraging startups to shift from digital and IT to manufacture so that more jobs can be generated. Startups have successfully employed 80,000 people by now and the government expects the number to go higher this year.
