Google Announces to set up startup incubator within its premises

‘A great decision by Sundar Pichai!’

In order to stop Google employees to quit their jobs and begin their own companies,  Indian-born CEO of Google Inc., Sundar Picha decides to set up an in-house startup incubator within the company premises. The incubator will be known as ‘Area 120’. In these premises, the employees can spend 20% of their time to work on side projects.

As per The Information, renowned Technology blog the incubators will be supervised by Google executives, Don Harrison and Bradley Horowitz. Google was never against its employees to start something new. Instead, there have been many ideas developed internally. The conglomerate may invest in some projects coming from Area 120 into independent companies.

Area 120 is dedicated to empower employees, letting them tackle new ideas and be more innovative.
